Monkeyland's
Square meter Campaign

About those squares...

Monkeyland, a beacon of compassion nestled in the heart of Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, is embarking on a groundbreaking mission: to secure the very future of its beloved residents by granting them ownership of the land they call home. This bold move stems from deep-seated concerns regarding the welfare of these majestic creatures in the hands of future shareholders, who may prioritize profits over compassion. While we cannot predict what will happen 50 years from now, granting ownership of the land to the animals ensures longevity.

Driven by an unwavering commitment to the well-being of its primates, Monkeyland, as part of the South African Animal Sanctuaries Alliance (SAASA), is spearheading the “Buy a square meter of land for primates” campaign. SAASA, a non-profit organization overseeing four sanctuaries including Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Jukani, and The Hidden Forest Wildlife Sanctuary, is leading the charge. For a mere ZAR 90 or $5 per square meter, individuals can play a pivotal role in ensuring the enduring security of these remarkable animals.

In a world where exploitation often overshadows empathy, this initiative stands as a beacon of hope and resilience. It challenges the status quo and sets a powerful precedent for sanctuaries worldwide. With each donation, we pave the way for a future where compassion triumphs over profit, and where the voiceless are given a chance to thrive.

Join us in this historic endeavor. Together, let’s secure a legacy of compassion and protection for generations to come. Visit www.monkeyland.tv to buy squares or contact lara@saasa.org.za to offer alternative assistance or support in another way.
